6:00am | According to a press release, the Port of Long Beach is requesting information from office building owners and their representatives as part of its search for an interim headquarters facility.

The Port’s current building on Harbor Plaza built in 1959 no longer meets the Port’s needs, officials said. It also does not meet today’s earthquake codes. The Port plans to either lease or purchase its new facility. Office building owners or their representatives are invited to submit information no later than 3 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012.
