9:30am | Veterans face both challenges and opportunities when they return to the business world after the battlefield. That will be the focus of the next Cal State Long Beach “Notable Speaker Series” event on Nov. 4.
“Veterans in Business: Challenges and Victories” will feature a panel discussion with successful business professionals, who are also veterans. Speakers include: Michael O’Gorman, director of the Farmer-Veteran Coalition, and Steve Peck, president and CEO of United States Veterans Initiative.
Mike Murray, director of government and external affairs for Verizon, will moderate the panel.
The “Notable Speaker Series” was established by CSULB’s College of Business Administration.
The event, in Room 139-A of the College of Business Administration (CBA) Building, is free. However, reservations are required, and visitors driving to the campus must purchase a $5 parking permit in Lot 15 at one of the yellow kiosks—park in the parking structure on Merriam Way, adjacent to the CBA Building; parking in spaces marked “Employee Permit” in Lot 15 is allowed after 6:00pm.
