11:00am | Sponsored by the Long Beach Rotary Club, Rotary eClub of the West is the first Rotary club in California that is based entirely online. Members are all located all over the United States, and membership is geographically unrestricted. Generally, members join the eClub because their personal circumstances don’t allow for attending a physical meeting once a week at a traditional Rotary Club.
The Rotary eClub’s inaugural fundraiser is called “Trees for Hands“, in which the eClub will be selling Christmas trees online for the benefit of amputees in third world countries.
Customers can choose the size and type of tree when they order through one of the eClub’s online stores. There is an online store for each of three pick-up locations, listed below. On December 10th, the customer can pick up their pre-purchased tree at the location nearest to them.

The funds will benefit LN-4, a non-profit with ties to Rotarian groups all over the world. The Rotary eClub of the West is currently working with LN-4 to ensure money raised can be specifically used to buy prosthetic hands for orphans in Haiti. LN-4 addressed the areas with the greatest need as soon as they can coordinate the necessary volunteers.
