Ramps on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach will shut down for paving work this weekend, the California Department of Transportation announced Friday afternoon.

Closure times may start or end later than expected, but according to Caltrans, the northbound and southbound Alondra Boulevard on-ramp will close from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The following ramps will then close from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday:

  • Northbound Rosecrans Avenue off-ramp
  • Southbound Rosecrans Avenue on-ramp
  • Southbound on-ramp from eastbound Imperial Highway

The 710 work is part of a $3 million project to slurry seal about 40 ramps and repair sections of concrete throughout the gateway cities, including Long Beach.

Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise, vibrations and dust due to the roadwork.
