More good news on Long Beach’s water conservation front, as the Long Beach Water Department recently announced that the city used a record low amount of water in the month of December.

The city’s consumption was the lowest for the month of December in the past decade – 5 percent lower than the previous record, and 10 percent lower than the monthly average over the last ten years.

After the first quarter of 2008 (Oct-Dec), Long Beach is nearly 8 percent below the ten-year average and 3 percent below the previous record for that time period.
