City officials will host the 8th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Candlelight Peace March on January 10.

The event is one in a series of week-long events aimed to “unify the community” and raise awareness about King’s efforts toward peace.

“The Peace March provides the community an opportunity to stand united. Walking together, we represent the peace and the love that keeps our community strong,” said Councilmember Dee Andrews, who is hosting the event. “I hope to see all the churches, families, schools, and community organizations at the march.”

The march will begin at 5:00PM on January 10 at King Park, located at 1950 Lemon Avenue.
