Age is just a number and volunteerism is always needed and appreciated, hence why the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) is currently seeking Volunteer Senior Police Partners.

Volunteer Senior Police Partners help the LBPD with crime victim assistance, vacation checks, graffiti reporting, limited safety patrol, peer support, handicap parking citations, education programs, DUI checkpoints, community presentations and special events.

Those interested in applying must be at least 50 years old, have a good moral character, have no felony convictions, be in good physical health, volunteer at least 20 hours per month and have a valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

To apply, call Senior Police Partner Linda Penrod at 562-570-7212 or [email protected].
