With Thanksgiving just a day away and Christmas songs already playing on the radio, it’s safe to say we’ve entered the holiday zone. After you’ve enjoyed that turkey and brave the possible comatose threat of excess tryptophan, celebrate the simple wonders of the winter season with the following Yuletide events:
Light Up The Night With LB’s Tallest Christmas Tree
Join Mayor Robert Garcia at this year’s annual Long Beach Christmas Tree lighting event, to take place Tuesday, November 29, at the Terrace Theater Plaza from 5:00 to 8:00PM.
The lighting will be accompanied by live music, food, train rides for kids, special photo opportunities with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, complimentary sweets, and much more. Attendees are asked to bring their own cameras for the photo op. Parking is free in the plaza’s parking structure.
This year, Garcia announced the tree will yet again be bigger and better. Topping out at 50 feet tall, it’s set to be lit with 66,000 colorful LED lights, accompanied by surrounding seasonal decorations. Along with the the Terrace Plaza lights, downtown Long Beach will also burst into holiday tradition with more than 191,000 LED lights and decorations. This event is free to the public. The Terrace Theater Plaza is located at 300 East Ocean Boulevard.
Chill Out At The Queen Mary
