7:20am | Citizens are encouraged to participate in a community bike ride from Long Beach’s Retro Row to Cambodia Town on Saturday, November 19th. The bike ride, a partnership between the city’s Bike-Friendly Business District program and cali Bike Tours, will have as its final destination the Third Annual Cambodian Arts & Culture Exhibition.

The ride departs Portfolio Coffeehouse (located at 2300 East 4th St., at Junipero), at 10:30am  and weaves up residential streets to the festival in MacArthur Park, located at 1321 E. Anaheim St. The slow-paced, 1.4-mile ride then returns to the Coffeehouse at 12:30pm. Riders may also choose to stay longer and ride back on their own.

Arriving at the festival, riders will be offered bike valet parking, bike tune-ups by The Hub Community Bike Center, Cambodian cyclo rides, and pedicab rides by Long Beach Pedaler Society – all free – not to mention a festival of music, dance, art displays, interactive arts and crafts, puppet shows, cooking demonstrations, Cambodia history displays, and more.

Please register for the ride by noon on Friday, November 18th at www.calbiketours.com. For more information on the Cambodian Arts & Culture Exhibition, please visit www.cambodiatown.org.
