Barack Obama supporters will host a special concert fundraiser for the Senator’s campaign on Wednesday, April 16. The “Barack The Vote” concert and fundraiser is at the Vault 350 downtown at 7:30pm.
The event is sponsored by Obama supporters Speaker-elect of the State Assembly Karen Bass, LA Council President Eric Garcetti, Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster and State Senator Alan Lowenthal.
Senator Obama will not be in attendance.
Performers scheduled to appear include Booker T Jones, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore, Phil Upchurch, Steph Jones, Doc Powell, Scott Mayo, Hues Corporation and Sadoc Christian Singers. Musical directors are Jerry Peters and Andrew Gouche with the Chaka Khan Band.
