3:24pm | Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews has announced his 3rd Annual “Serving With A Thankful Heart” Thanksgiving luncheon and dinner on Monday, November 21, at Ernest S. McBride Park, 1550 Martin Luther King, Jr., Ave. Lunch will be served from 11:30am to 2:00pm and dinner from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
Last year’s event fed over 1,400 people during the holiday season and this year the numbers are expected to climb. This is the fourth year that Councilman Andrews, Hyatt, Hilton and Maya Hotels, Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Long Beach Yellow Cab Company will joyously serve a free traditional Thanksgiving meal alongside special guest servers City Manager Pat West, Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau President Steve Goodling, and others.
“This banquet has become one of the most exciting events in our community. To be able to provide a special holiday meal and this type of service to such a gracious community is truly a blessing. People are so grateful when this special attention is showered on them during this holiday season” said Andrews.
Although this is a free function you must RSVP before Friday, November 18th, at Ernest S. McBride Park or contact the office of Councilman Andrews at (562) 570-6816.
