3:00pm | Councilman Dee Andrews, along with the Long Beach Department of Traffic Engineering, Poly High School and the residents of Long Beach, will present a Traffic Signal Light Ceremony, at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and 15th Street, on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 1:00pm.
Councilman Andrews, along with Christopher Steinhauser, Long Beach Unified School District Superintendent, and Dr. Felton Williams, the President of the Long Beach Board of Education, will be revealing a new path of safety for the Poly High School and Roosevelt Elementary students in the 6th District thanks to a new traffic signal installed on Atlantic Avenue and 15th Street.
“Each day school students cross the busy Atlantic Avenue. My hope is that this becomes a safe path for our children and my neighbors”, said Councilman Andrews.
“The efforts by Councilman Dee Andrews on behalf of our students adds to the collaboration between the school district and the city to insure that one of our most important assets, the safety of our students, is a top priority for the city and the school district. We thank Councilman Andrews for his efforts in keeping students first”, said Dr. Felton Williams, President of the Long Beach Board of Education.
The ceremony will include a special performance from the Poly High School Marching Band. For more information call the Office of Councilman Dee Andrews at (562) 570-6816.
