One person was killed today in a traffic crash on the transition road from the westbound 105 Freeway to the southbound Long 710 Freeway in the Paramount area.

The crash was reported about 6:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Information was not immediately available on the identity of the deceased person, described only as a female, who was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

A search was being conducted in the area to determine if there was a second victim, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported about 9 a.m.

Two lanes of the transition road were blocked while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
