A 14-year-old girl was with a group of people in a stolen car when a gunman shot and wounded her around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said the group was in a stolen Kia when they stopped at an intersection near Cedar Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard where they had some kind of exchange with a male driver, who then fired at the Kia, wounding the 14-year-old.

According to police, the group in the Kia dropped off the wounded girl in the 1100 block of Linden Avenue, which is near St. Mary Medical Center, and then called 911.
Paramedics took the girl to get treatment, and police began investigating.
Police soon found the stolen Kia, but any information on the suspected gunman is still under investigation, according to the LBPD.
Police said the girl’s injury wasn’t life-threatening.
