Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into two teens riding motorized bikes in North Long Beach.

The crash happened at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Market Street and Elm Avenue, according to Long Beach police.

Police said the driver fled the scene after striking two boys — aged 16 and 17 — who were riding an e-moto dirt bike and a gas-powered dirt bike, LBPD police spokesperson Eric Stachura wrote in an email.

The 16-year-old victim suffered critical injuries, but was expected to survive, Stachura wrote. The 17-year-old victim suffered moderate injuries.

No description of the vehicle was immediately available.
