A crash involving a motorcycle killed one personand caused a significant traffic backup on the 91 Freeway in Bellflower this morning.
The crash between a motorcycle and an SUV was reported about 7:30 a.m. on the eastbound 91 Freeway just west of the 605 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle rider was reported to be in the roadway and not moving. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, a CHP officer confirmed.
The carpool and far left lane were closed for the emergency response and investigation, backing up traffic to the 710 Freeway.
