Gunfire broke out during an argument between two people while they were stopped at a red light in Long Beach, according to police.

Police said the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Pacific Avenue.

A driver was stopped at the red light when he got into an argument with a passenger in another car, police said. Police said the dispute “escalated” when the driver’s car was hit by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled before officers arrived. Police said they’re still gathering a description.
