Long Beach police say they have arrested the final suspect in a January 23 shooting that left one man dead and a bystander wounded.

Rodney Willis, a 35-year-old Long Beach man, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder and a probation violation, according to authorities. He is being held in jail without bail. Police had issued a warrant for his arrest on February 15, in connection to the shooting.

Police believe Willis is one of three suspects who killed a man they had been fighting with outside the Packard Building in Central Long Beach.

Officers in February arrested 37-year-old Phillip Bullard of Inglewood and Isaiah James Tucker, 36, of San Bernardino, in connection to the shooting.

“Detectives believe Willis was involved in the shooting death of Ross, along with Bullard and Tucker,” police said in a news release. “At this time, detectives believe there are no additional suspects outstanding related to this investigation.”

In February, police said detectives believed the motive of the shooting stemmed from a gang-related argument.
