Police say they’re looking for a pair of robbers who fired a gun as they tried to steal a man’s bicycle along the Los Angeles River bike path last night.
The man was riding his bike on the east side of the riverbed near 60th Street and De Forest Avenue when the robbers approached him around 8:20 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities.
As the man struggled with the robbers over his bike, one of the robbers fired a gunshot in “an unknown direction,” police said.
Ultimately, they fled without the bike, according to police, who said they are still investigating. The bicyclist was not wounded, according to police.
There was no suspect information available.
