A Long Beach Transit bus driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run after crashing into multiple parked cars Sunday night, police said.

The crash happened around midnight near Pacific Avenue and Anaheim Street, police spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said. The driver was the only one aboard, and nobody was hurt, she said.

Police took the driver to a medical facility to see if he was impaired, and they later arrested him and held him in lieu of $30,000 bail, according to De Prez.

Police identified him as John Moreno, a 48-year-old from Corona.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many cars were hit, police said, but other media reports said it was at least a dozen.
