Following a tip that drugs were being dealt from a residence at the corner of 2nd and Newport Avenue in Belmont Heights, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) have arrested the operator of a residential day care on suspicion of dealing narcotics.

The home of 49-year-old Long Beach resident Debbie Louise Felix was searched after LBPD served a search warrant and discovered cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms. Following the collection of evidence and concern at the presence of children at her residence, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Felix, who evaded the police for three weeks before being arrested on January 31.

Currently at Los Angeles County Jail, she sits on a $110,000 bail with an arraignment scheduled for later this week.
