Long Beach police say they have arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly shooting a 38-year-old man inside a Chipotle restaurant in the middle of the afternoon.

Jahvanni Jordan, 19, of Long Beach, was arrested after a SWAT standoff Monday evening on Pine Avenue near Seventh Street, according to Long Beach police.

A SWAT team was called to the scene around 6 p.m. to help serve a search warrant at a home near the intersection. Police said Jordan and an alleged accomplice, 19-year-old Rakyia Harris, were both arrested roughly 30 minutes later.

Police believe Jordan shot a 38-year-old man during a gang-related dispute inside the Chipotle restaurant on Pine Avenue just south of Third Street on Sept. 20 at about 1:45 p.m.

The victim was struck in the upper body and taken to a hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Security camera footage led them to identify Jordan as the suspected shooter and Harris for helping him flee after the shooting, police said.

Jordan was booked into jail for attempted murder and Harris for being an accessory after the fact. Both were being held on $1 million bail.
