A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Long Beach was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Huntington Beach over the weekend, according to authorities.
Derrel Gollihugh was riding on Pacific Coast Highway near 11th Street around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when he and another vehicle collided, Huntington Beach police said.
When officers got to the scene, they discovered the other motorist involved in the crash had left his car and fled, police said.
Gollihugh was rushed to the hospital where he died, according to authorities.
A day later, witnesses helped identify the other driver, and detectives arrested Julien Cesar Solorzano, a 47-year-old from Monrovia, police said.
He was booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to jail records.
