Cal State Long Beach (CSULB) police are warning students about a suspicious man on campus who followed a student and slept overnight in the women’s restroom.
The man, who was not a student at the university and was later identified as 27-year-old Ion Sirus Ghahreman, reportedly followed a student from the bus into his Social Science and Political Affairs classroom and sat next to him on September 16, police said in a statement.
CSULB police officers escorted Ghahreman off campus and told him to not return for seven days, but Ghahreman returned two days later and was found sleeping in a women’s restroom located on campus.
CSULB police officers detained Ghahreman, and he was arrested for trespassing and being an opposite sex in a locker room. He was booked at the Long Beach City jail and was released September 22 on $5K bail, according to jail records.
Campus police have asked anyone who sees Ghahreman at the university to call them at 562-985-4101.
