Police arrested a man suspected of masturbating in front of three different people as he asked each of them for directions near Long Beach’s Rose Park neighborhood Tuesday, according to authorities.

Police said they got three separate reports in quick succession about the masturbator around 2:15 p.m., Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said.

All three incidents happened near 10th Street and Redondo Avenue, according to Chavarria.

The victims—who were all female—told police the man was in his car and asked each of them for directions before they realized he was masturbating, Chavarria said.

Police said officers quickly headed to the area, found a car that matched the victims’ description, pulled it over and arrested the driver.

Police identified the suspect as Jared Heins, a 38-year-old resident of Long Beach. He’s being held in lieu of $10,560 bail, according to Chavarria.

His arrest comes on the heels of two similar incidents recently: one where a man in a car exposed himself to a girl walking home in Lakewood Village and another where a man in a car exposed himself to a girl walking in North Long Beach.

It wasn’t immediately clear if any of the crimes are connected. Police said they’re still investigating.
