An investigation into recent residential burglaries in Long Beach’s West Side that involved stolen firearms led to a SWAT call Friday night and the seizure of firearms and narcotics, authorities said.

“Due to the nature and circumstances of the investigation, SWAT was activated to search a residence in the 1400 block of West 20th Street,” said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.

The investigation, which began at about 9:15PM on Friday, Aug. 26, resulted in police recovering an unspecified amount of firearms and narcotics, she said.

No arrests were made at the residence and the investigation remains ongoing.
