The shooting happened around 8:05 p.m. at a home near 15th Street and Orizaba Avenue, LBPD Lt. Robert Woods said. Police said they believe the shooter fired on the victims from an alley behind the home.

The bullets hit two men, who were taken to the hospital by paramedics. Police said they men were in stable condition and expected to survive.

Police said they didn’t have any description of a suspect.

“The suspect fled in an unknown direction and is still outstanding,” LBPD spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.

There’s no information yet on a motive or whether the shooting was gang-related.

Police asked anyone who might be able to help with the investigation to call the gang detail at 562-570-7370. Anyone who wants to give an anonymous tip can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
