UPDATE | A former San Pedro High School substitute teacher was sentenced to nearly four years in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for life after pleading no contest on Friday to multiple counts of unlawful sex and child molestation with three boys, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Michelle Yeh, 29, was immediately sentenced to three years, eight months in prison by Superior Court Judge Richard Romero at the Long Beach Courthouse.
Yeh pleaded no contest to having unlawful sex with a minor under 16 and to one felony count of oral copulation of a minor under 16. Both charges involved the same victim who was 15 at the time, according to the district attorney’s office.
The defendant also pleaded no contest to one count of lewd act on a child involving a second victim, who was also 15 at the time of the incident, officials said.
She pleaded no contest to child molesting involving a third victim, who was 16 at the time, and to violating a court order not to have contact with any of the victims by texting the 16-year-old. Both are misdemeanors.
“Yeh became a permanent substitute teacher in February 2015 and pursued relationships with several male students that included buying them gifts, taking one to Disneyland and meeting another at a hotel,” district attorney officials said.
The Los Angeles Police Department investigated the case.

During the arraignment, the judge set the bail for 29-year-old Michelle Yeh at $250,000, LADA spokeswoman Jane Robison said.
Yeh’s next court date is September 10, 2015 at the Long Beach Courthouse.

8/12/2015 at 11:07AM | A former San Pedro High School substitute teacher was charged on Tuesday with unlawful sex with two minors at the Long Beach Superior Courthouse, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Authorities said 29-year-old Michelle Yeh—who became a permanent substitute teacher in February—allegedly pursued relationships with several students that included buying them gifts, taking one to Disneyland and meeting another at a hotel.
Yeh—who is no longer a teacher—was charged with four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16, two counts of oral copulation of a minor under 16, and two counts of lewd acts on a child 15 years of age, according to a press release.
All the felonies involved two male victims, officials stated.
Yeh was scheduled to be arraigned at the Long Beach Superior Courthouse on Wednesday, during which prosecutors planned to ask for a $250,000 bail.
If convicted, Yeh faces up to nine years, eight months in state prison.
The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.
