Long Beach detectives have arrested four people on suspicion of committing 11 robberies since October 30, the department announced Thursday.

Detectives believe the suspects committed the robberies—on the street and of local businesses—at different times of the day and night between Oct. 30 and Dec. 17.

“During the street robberies, the suspects, two adult males and two adult females, brandish a firearm or simulate possession of a firearm toward the victim, rob the victim, and flee on foot,” police said in a release.

Some of the businesses robbed include 7-Eleven stores, convenience stores and a doughnut shop.

“During the commercial robberies, the suspects enter the business pretending to be customers, then brandish or simulate possession of a firearm during the transaction with the sales clerk, rob the business, and flee on foot,” police said.

Victims reported the suspects stole cash and miscellaneous store merchandise.

Police on Dec. 11 located and arrested two suspects, 30-year-old Marilyn Williams of Long Beach and 31-year-old Zylaen Roberts of Signal Hill, on suspicion of second degree robbery. Williams was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and is being held in the Long Beach City Jail on a $76,000 bail. Roberts is being held on a $50,000 bail.

A week later on Dec. 18 police arrested two other suspects, 20-year-old Jesus Corrales-Montoya and 23-year-old Tranique Watkins, at a hotel near Golden Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway on suspicion of second degree robbery. Watkins was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and is being held in the Long Beach City jail on a $500,000 bail. Corrales-Montoya is being held on a $650,000 bail.

Police seized two replica guns during the arrests, they said in a release. They said cooperation from the victims helped detectives identify and find the suspects.

Police believe the suspects were involved in the following incidents:

Street robberies:

  • Oct. 30 – 400 block of Pacific Avenue
  • Nov. 14 – Fourth Street and Carroll Park

Attempt street robbery:
