A Garden Grove resident was arrested early Monday morning after a man he allegedly stabbed flagged down police in Long Beach, authorities said.

The stabbing victim flagged down an officer near Anaheim Street and Oregon Avenue at about 1:00AM on Monday, May 2, said Sgt. Brad Johnson of the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

The victim was able to identify the suspect to police as 50-year-old Garden Grove resident Felix Robles. Police took Robles into custody at a nearby location, Johnson said. He was booked into Long Beach City Jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. His bail is set at $30,000.

The victim was transported with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his upper torso to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel.

The investigation remains ongoing.
