A 17-year-old girl was killed and three other people were wounded in a shooting in front of a Compton business Sunday evening, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Long Beach Boulevard, which is about a mile north of the Compton-Long Beach border, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.

CBS Los Angeles reported the shooting was in front of a liquor store.

All four victims were taken to hospitals where the teenage girl was pronounced dead and the two adults and a second juvenile had stable vital signs, Koerner said.

No further victim information was available and no suspect information was available.

The shooting was about a mile south of where a man was shot to death about five hours earlier in the 1500 block of North Long Beach Boulevard.

Anyone with information was asked to call sheriff’s homicide detectives at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
