Police said a gun went off during a brawl that began when two men started arguing in the middle of the street in Central Long Beach Monday night.
Police said nobody was hurt, but they’re now looking for the man with the gun who drove off before officers arrived.
The situation began around 11:50 p.m. on Olive Avenue near 23rd Street, according to the LBPD.
“The preliminary information suggests the victim and a male adult suspect were engaged in a brief verbal altercation in the middle of the street that escalated when the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim,” police said. “The suspect and victim subsequently got into a fight, during which the firearm was discharged, not hitting anyone.”
Police said they’re still investigating and didn’t immediately have a suspect description. Police did not say what prompted the altercation.
