Police said they’re investigating after a resident in Long Beach’s Hellman neighborhood heard arguing followed by gunfire outside his home.

The neighbor called police around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to report overhearing the dispute on Orange Avenue near 10th Street, Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.

It’s unclear if anyone was hurt.

Police said they found an empty car and a residence that were hit by the gunfire on nearby Cerritos Avenue, but they haven’t received any reports of injuries.

There was no suspect information, De Prez said.
