Police are looking for whoever was firing a gun in a North Long Beach alley overnight, but few details were immediately available.

Police said someone called them around 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 to report hearing gunshots near Gardenia Avenue and 61st Street.

Officers couldn’t find anyone who’d been wounded by the gunfire, but they did find bullet casings in a nearby alley in the 6100 block of Cherry Avenue, Long Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.

Police don’t have any information, but they’re still investigating, De Prez said.
