Police say they’ve arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly shooting at a group of people at a West Long Beach 7-Eleven.

Police said the group of victims was in the business at 1960 Santa Fe Ave. around 8:30 p.m. Monday when the gunman fired at them without warning from outside the store.

Nobody was hurt, and police quickly found the suspected gunman nearby, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.

The gunman didn’t interact with the group at all before firing, and police are still trying to determine a motive, police said.

Police identified the suspected gunman as Cesar Dominguez Santos, a 27-year-old from Long Beach.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and other charges. His bail was set at $1 million.
