According to a release issued Tuesday, LPBD officials arrived at the 2700 block of East South Street at 10:53PM. They found a 47-year-old man, identified as Lawrence Lee Casados, on the street with a gunshot wound. The Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) later arrived and pronounced Casados dead at the scene.

Officials have since arrested four suspects in the weeks following. Three of the four suspects—Derrick Kujuan of Palmdale (29 years old), Terry McCrea of Victorville (26 years old) and Dominic Jermaine Dixon of Downey (28 years old)—were charged with murder and gang allegations.

Murphy and Dixon were also charged with personal use of a firearm, while McCrea was charged with an ex-felon with a gun.

The fourth suspect arrested, Donte Dumount Lee of Apple Valley (28 years old), was charged as an accessory after the fact.

All suspects were arrested in their home cities, with the exception of Dixon, who was arrested in Compton. They are all being held at the Los Angeles County Jail. Lee is being held on $500,000 bail, while the other three are being held on $2,000,000 bail.
