Police say a man died over the weekend after he and another man showed up at a Long Beach hospital with gunshot wounds.

The two men arrived shortly after a shooting around 4:25 p.m. Saturday on Myrtle Avenue near East 10th Street, according to Long Beach police. Detectives are still trying to determine if that’s where the men were shot.

Officers responded to the scene and found evidence of a shooting, but no victims or suspected shooters, police said.

A short time later, they were advised that two men had arrived at the local hospital with gunshot wounds. One died at the hospital, while the other’s wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The victims’ names and ages were not immediately available.
