Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Long Beach man they allege tried to solicit a minor for sex, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.
Sheriff’s officials learned of the issue in April when the minor’s parent found “inappropriate dialogue and images” on the child’s device, the release stated.
A months-long investigation determined the man, whom sheriff’s officials identified as 48-year-old Alex Ronaldo Castro Luna of Long Beach, had posed as a 15-year-old boy and was planning to meet with the minor.
Luna was arrested Thursday and booked into a Murrieta jail on suspicion of possession of child pornography and soliciting a child for sexual purposes, according to the news release.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department asked anyone with information related to the case to call 951-696-3000.
