A man was critically injured Friday night during a possible gang-related shooting in Long Beach’s Poly High neighborhood, authorities said.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 2000 block of Olive Avenue on Friday, October 9, at 8:55PM and subsequently found a man struck by gunfire on the ground, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, according to officials.

Police are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.
