APRIL 7 9:35AM  |  The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) has released more information regarding a shooting with two victims that occurred Monday afternoon in the 800 block of Gaviota Avenue.

Two suspects, a man and a teenager, were arrested shortly following the shooting, said LBPD spokesperson Megan Zabel on Tuesday morning.

Savon Moun, a 32-year-old Long Beach man, was detained in the 1900 block of East 10th Street shortly after the shooting occurred. He was booked on the charge of attempted murder and is being held at the Long Beach Jail on $1 million bail.

An unidentified 17-year-old male juvenile was also detained in the 800 block of Rose Avenue shortly after the shooting. He was booked on the charge of attempted murder and is being held without bail.

Zabel said both victims from Monday’s shooting are in stable condition.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

APRIL 7 5:31PM  |  Long Beach police are investigating a shooting that injured two victims Monday afternoon.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers dispatched to the 800 block of Gaviota Avenue regarding a shooting at about 4:42PM, said LBPD spokesperson Marlene Arrona.

Arriving officers found two victims who were then transported to local hospitals by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics. One victim is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition, said Arrona.

A suspect has been detained, she said, and the incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
