Long Beach detectives arrested a man in his Los Angeles home Monday who is suspected of robbing two hotels on April 20, authorities said.
Police said the man, identified as 22-year-old Los Angeles resident Joseph Casey, allegedly stole cash from hotels in Long Beach and Arcadia in incidents that occurred one hour and a half apart. Though he was believed to be armed with a handgun, no employees were injured in either incident.
Arcadia police detectives assisted the LBPD in identifying Casey as the suspect, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) said in a release issued Thursday.
According to the release, Casey was served with a search warrant, then arrested. A vehicle and additional evidence believed to be connected with both robberies were located at his home.
Casey was booked for robbery and a parole violation and is being held at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles without bail.
