ecstasy pills

More than 1,000 ecstasy pills were seized during a series of probation checks in North Long Beach last week, authorities announced.

In a partnership with the Los Angeles County Probation Department and Homeland Security Investigations, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) North Directed Enforcement Team took part in a compliance check operation last week during which they focused their attention on local gang members and other violent offenders, according to an LBPD Facebook post.

As a result, authorities made contact with 18 residents, which resulted in the arrest of six men, aged 19 to 38. The men were arrested for violating various terms of their probation, officials stated.

The violations included:

  • Ex-felon in possession of a firearm
  • Narcotics possession with intent to distribute
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Ex-felon in possession of ammunition
  • Probation violations

Authorities seized a gun, ammunition, and more than 1,000 ecstasy pills, the post stated.
