A man was arrested and booked Thursday night in connection with a no-hit shooting that occurred minutes before, police said.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers were in the area of Eighth Street and Pacific Avenue at 6:32PM when they learned a shooting had occurred, said LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona in a statement.

Arriving officers found evidence of a shooting on the 200 block of West Seventh Street and determined no one was or struck by gunfire or otherwise injured during the incident.

Within minutes, a man was arrested and booked by the LBPD, Arrona said.
