A man was in the hospital in critical condition today following a stabbing in the Willmore area, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Magnolia Avenue, Long Beach police Lt. Eric Fritz told City News Service.
The man was stabbed in the upper body and arriving officers rendered first aid until paramedics arrived to take him to a hospital, Fritz said.
The victim’s vital signs stabilized but he remained in critical condition, the lieutenant said.
Police did not release information about the suspect, who remained at large, he said.
An investigation was underway.
