A man was fatally shot while driving through the Cambodia Town area of Long Beach last week, police said today.
The Long Beach Police Department said 20-year-old Cori Michael Scales crashed into a power pole after he was shot near 12th Street and Lewis Avenue at around 7:28 p.m. on Friday.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died on Sunday, according to police.
“Homicide detectives responded to the scene,” police said. “The motive and circumstances of the incident are under investigation.”
