Homicide detectives had been investigating over the weekend after a man was found dead in North Long Beach, but coroners officials have determined his death was from natural causes.

Larry Edward Woods, 62, was found around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, inside an RV where he appeared to be living, according to authorities. It was parked just north of the 91 Freeway in an industrial area between Cherry Avenue and Paramount Boulevard.

Long Beach police said they dispatched homicide detectives because they were unsure how he died.

However, an autopsy determined Woods died from congestive heart failure and other health complications, according to Sarah Ardalani, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
