A man sustained non-life-threatening wounds when he was shot in Central Long Beach Saturday night, authorities said.

Police responded to the 1400 block of St. Louis Street at 7:37 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8., said Long Beach police spokesman Lt. James Richardson.

The victim was shot in his lower extremities and torso and transported to a local hospital by paramedics.

Gang detectives and patrol resources responded to investigate, Richardson said.

Authorities do not know the motive for the shooting.
