A man was injured during one of three separate shootings reported in Long Beach over the Fourth of July weekend, with one of the incidents being investigated as possibly gang-related, authorities said.
Saturday, July 2
The first shooting happened Saturday, with officers being dispatched to the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard at 10:49PM regarding a shooting call, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.
Officers found evidence of a shooting but did not located any injured persons, she said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Monday, July 4
Police responded to reports of a shooting near Spring Street and Webster Avenue at about 3:00PM on the Fourth of July but did not find any victims, according to Arrona.
“Further investigation indicated a male subject fired shots at an occupied vehicle after a dispute, however, no one involved remained at the scene,” said Arrona.
Authorities are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.

Tuesday, July 5
Officers dispatched to a shooting call on the 5800 block of Linden Avenue at 2:42AM found a man with a non-life threatening gunshot injury, according to Arrona.
Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, she said.
The investigation is ongoing.
