A man was shot in his lower body by a group of men in the South Wrigley neighborhood early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to the shooting at 5:05 a.m. today in the 1800 block of Cedar Avenue, near Pacific Coast Highway, according to Long Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez.

When they arrived, police found the victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Long Beach paramedics transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.
