A man who was shot in North Long Beach near Jordan High on Friday morning is being treated with a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers arrived at the scene in the area of 64th Street and Linden Avenue at about 9:40AM to investigate a shots-fired call. The incident occurred across from Jordan High School, which was not in session.

Upon arrival, officers found a man who had sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body, said LBPD spokeswoman Nancy Pratt. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

No suspect information is available and the investigation remains ongoing, Pratt said.
